Wow it’s been nearly two years since I last posted on here. Well in that time I’ve managed to create a Euro 2012 wall chart and also another daughter to point at it. Check out the full image over at my illustration blog www.quinkyart.com

I’m pleased to announce that on top of the £6,633 that I’ve already raised for the Luton & Dunstable Hospital NICU appeal I will also be adding the proceeds from the sale of this signed portrait of Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel.

A huge thank you goes out to SEM who represent some very talented footballers including John Obi Mikel. I’d also like to thank the man himself for signing the portrait and lending his support to a very worthwhile cause.

I haven’t quite worked out how I’m going to do it yet but if you are interested in purchasing this unique signed artwork please email me at elliott.quince@ntlworld.com and I’ll let you know the details in due course.

Feel free to blog, tweet and generally share this post.

Thanks a lot

Elliott

I have finally totted up all the money from the sales of Got, got, got, need! artworks and I am proud to say that the total amount raised comes to a not too shabby £6,633. This money has been tranferred to the Luton & Dunstable Hospital NICU appeal where I’m positive it will be put to great use helping children just like Tuesday.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has helped out with GGGN! over the past few months, whether it be promoting the website, buying the artworks or putting up with me when all I seemed to do all day was eat, sleep and paint bloody footballers!!!

I couldn’t have raised this amount of money without the help and support of loads of great people so thank you once again.

Elliott

P.S. there could be some more money coming the way of the hospital thanks to a special one-off commission of John Obi Mikel (below), I’ll let you know.

Here are a couple of pictures from the launch night, a bit late but that’s due to my time being taken up with all the packing and posting.

The 28 portraits that have been sold are either with their owners or en-route – please drop me an email when you receive your paintings to let me know that my trust in Royal Mail wasn’t misplaced.

The 4 that remain are:

Algeria’s Karim Ziani, who made England’s ‘superstar’ midfielders look ordinary on Friday.

Denmark’s Christian Poulsen, whose sloppy pass to his fullback yesterday looked as though it was going to condemn his side to a second straight defeat. The Danes however managed to turn it around and are still in with a shout of qualification.

The Paraguayan, Roque Santa Cruz who only came on as a sub in his country’s 1-1 draw with the holders Italy due to a niggling injury but could well feature today against Slovakia.

And Milivoje Novakovic of Slovenia who are currently sitting pretty at the top of Group C although I’m hoping the striker will have an absolute stinker on Wednesday when he faces England.

GGGN! featured in Sport

As mentioned previously on the site, this week’s Sport magazine features a rather splendid article on GGGN! Click the picture if you are struggling to read it.

Also towards the back of the same magazine is an advert for The Times featuring some of the England eggs that I painted for them. They are currently being plastered across London so you may well see one on a billboard near you. (In fact I think the statistic goes like this: In London you are only ever 10 feet from a rat or 15 feet from one of my adverts) click here if that makes no sense.

In a recent World Cup warm up match against New Zealand, the German based target man they call ‘Super Nova’ scored two fine free-kicks and in the process fired a warning shot to his group C rivals USA, England and Algeria. At 6’4″, the striker will pose Slovenia’s most obvious physical threat when the tournament kicks off in a weeks time. If you would like to be the proud owner of the Slovenian scoring sensation click here.

Win a GGGN! German

As you may know, the Germany midfield supremo Michael Ballack has sustained an ankle injury which will keep him out of the World Cup. Great news for Germany’s rivals, not so great for me as I have already painted the Chelsea star.

After frantically painting a replacement in the form of Miroslav Klose, I now find myself in posession of a spare 33rd portrait.

One lucky person can win this portrait, normally priced at £200 but in the circumstances the value could be much more (or much less, to be honest I don’t know).

‘How do I win him’ I hear you cry, well to be in with a chance all you have to do is follow me on Twitter (my twitter name is @QuinkyArt) predict the Japan v England score and Tweet the following message:

Predict Japan v England score 2 win rare #gotgotgotneed portrait of Michael Ballack worth £200 ENG?-JAP? http://bit.ly/cWCLR3

Obviously you need to substitute the ?s for what you think the score will be when England face Japan in their next World Cup warm up on 30th May (this Sunday) in Austria.

So there you go, if you want to win this unique Michael Ballack painting simply follow, predict and tweet.

The Manchester United and England talisman is our great white hope and with a dietary and nutritional plan as advanced as this we have every chance this summer. Click here if you are interested in purchasing this one of a kind portrait of Wayne Rooney (or Wazza to his mates).
